Infrared painting is a method of creating a unique image of ambiguous appearance – one visible to the naked eye in daylight, and the other visible only through an infrared camera.
Infrared painting is a combination of art and technology. It relies on innovations in the field of infrared spectrum exploitation developed by the Croatian team led by world-famous scientist Vilko Žiljak, the author of numerous innovative solutions in the field of security printing.
It is an innovative method of painting with infrared light, through which a unique image of ambiguous appearance is created – one visible to the naked eye, and the other only through infrared camera.
This new way of painting also initiated the research of colors and pigments used in painting, which differ in their ability to absorb infrared light.
The first, visible image obscures the hidden one, invisible to our eyes, which we can only see through a dual infrared camera.
